Tlab is a collective of font research and development experts that pioneers new directions in visual design through innovative interpretations and diverse experiments in typography. "The fundamental purpose of typographic expression is to ensure that the content conveyed through type not only fosters aesthetic resonance with the viewer but also faithfully communicates the intentions of the information provider." Rooted in the teachings of the late master Jin-Pyung Kim, we uphold a sincere and precise approach, delivering high-quality results with clear and compelling designs. We believe that typography grounded in strong fundamentals leads to a more convenient, beautiful, and functionally valuable society, and we put this belief into practice.

Founded in 2020 by Minjoo Ham and Mark Frömberg, Hypertype is driven by in-depth research and a technology-focused design approach, continuously exploring new possibilities within type design. We recognize that every culture is shaped by its own writing systems, and we are committed to creating typefaces that respect, reflect, and celebrate these differences. Based in Berlin, Germany, Hypertype collaborates with global brands and cultural institutions to produce engaging, functional, and thoughtfully crafted multi-script type design projects.
