HGCosmos is a display typeface distinguished by its reverse-contrast concept, in which the weight balance of horizontal and vertical strokes is inverted. Its solid rectangular modules and structurally modernized Hangul components lend a contemporary character to the design. The straight horizontal strokes, particularly in the letter “ㅇ,” create a playful and distinctive impression.

The family is composed of two styles: Style A, drawn with straight forms, and Style B, drawn with curved forms. HGCosmos A is designed to evoke the sturdy and bold impression of linear shapes, inspired by the archetypal forms of sans-serif typefaces. HGCosmos B, on the other hand, enriches its fluid, curving Hangul letterforms with subtle slab-serif elements, adding depth and visual interest.
